HEALTH SCREENING INITIAVE / TELEHUB SERVICES

The Epe Local Government Area (LGA) in Lagos State, Nigeria, has an estimated population of around 303,655 according to recent projections. This figure encompasses individuals from various communities within the LGA, including notable areas such as Ejinrin and Agbowa.ICFA has subsequently successfully implemented free health programs in collaboration with the IEC/BCC workgroup of the Lagos State Aids Control Agency (LSACA). This initiative aimed to provide essential health services and mental health support to affected families in the area.

Specifically, our participation is in these key areas:

FOSTERING FOR DEPRESSED FAMILIES PROJECT

This is our free Health Screening initiative project, targeted at providing essential health services, mental health support and supporting families dealing with life threatening situations. This outreach project was initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide free healthcare, food, and shelter for displaced families in Epe, Nigeria. In addition to basic needs like food and shelter, this project offers pre-health consultations and free medical treatment, particularly targeting victims of economic crises marked by starvation, poor living conditions, political instability, and lack of access to adequate healthcare.

COMMUNITY-DRIVEN TELEHEALTH / SUPPLY CHAIN NETWORK (CTS-Net)

In 2023, ICFA decided to broaden its operations by expanding our healthcare delivery project (The “Fostering for Displaced Families” Project), which is now named the Community-Driven Telehealth and Supply Chain Network (CTS-Net) .

The Telehealth / CTS-Net Project initiative aims to address the specific healthcare needs of communities in Nigeria by emphasizing community-based solutions and integrating innovative technologies to improve affordability, availability, and quality of healthcare services.

The CTS-Net Project, specifically implemented to serve the entire Epe Local Government area hasimproved community access to healthcare services and enhanced supply chain efficiency for medical resources. This provides the community with access to virtual medical consultations, and the supply network includes the distribution of medications through our local mobile clinic transportation system.
